Season’s end on the Cap: when the hotels close for winter

The Cap d’Antibes is a summer place with a short winter. Its hotels open between March and May and close in October, and the sequence of closing dates marks the end of the season more precisely than the weather does.

The dates below come from the listings of the Antibes Juan-les-Pins tourist office, read on 1 October 2026. The office marks its opening hours as unconfirmed, so a hotel may still adjust them.

The closing dates

• 15 October – Hôtel La Baie Dorée, boulevard de la Garoupe (open since 15 May) and Hôtel Beau Site, boulevard John Fitzgerald Kennedy (open since 15 March)
• 17 October – Villa Miraé, chemin de la Garoupe (open since 17 April)
• 18 October – Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, boulevard John Fitzgerald Kennedy (open since 20 April)
• 20 October – Cap d’Antibes Beach Hotel, boulevard du Maréchal Juin (open since 2 April)
• 25 October – Hôtel Belles Rives, boulevard Édouard Baudoin, on the Juan-les-Pins side of the Cap (open since 6 March)
• 31 October – Hôtel Garoupe-Gardiole, boulevard Francis Meilland (open since 1 May)

Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc has already published its next season: from 19 April to 17 October 2027.

Five to eight months a year

Taken together, these hotels are open for between five and eight months a year. Belles Rives has the longest season in the list, from early March to late October; La Baie Dorée the shortest, from mid-May to mid-October. After 31 October, none of the seven is open.

What closes with them

The hotels are not only places to stay. Their restaurants, bars and terraces are part of the Cap’s summer life for residents as well as guests. From November the Cap is largely residential: the roads are quieter, and the coastal path is shared with neighbours rather than visitors.

What it means for owners

For people who own on the Cap, the closing of the hotels is a practical marker.

• Works. Autumn and winter are when renovation and maintenance can be done without disturbing summer tenants, and when contractors plan the next season.
• Letting. Owners who let their villas compete with the hotels for summer guests. Once the hotels close, the question for owners is whether letting out of season is worth it – within the rules for tourist lets.
• Buying. A house viewed in November, without the summer crowd, shows its winter self – the light, the noise of the road, the neighbours who stay all year.

When they come back

In 2026 the first of these hotels opened in March and the last in May. For 2027 dates other than Eden-Roc’s, the hotels’ own announcements are the reliable source.
