On the western side of the Cap, the little shelter port of the Olivette and its beach look across the water to Juan-les-Pins – wooden boats and painted hulls, home to the traditional pointus since 1910.

The Cap's most photographed spot
The port-abri de l'Olivette lies on the western side of the Cap d'Antibes, facing Juan-les-Pins across the water. The residents of Antibes Juan-les-Pins voted it the town's first wonder, and it is the most photographed spot in the commune. Since 1910 it has been home to the traditional pointus, the small, brightly painted wooden fishing boats of the coast.
A port kept by its friends
In contrast to the superyachts of Port Vauban, the Olivette has kept its original character. It is looked after by the Olivette association, which works to promote and conserve the site. The association organises pointu races and fishing competitions, walks to discover the local flora and fauna, and the restoration of traditional boats.
The beach
The small public beach beside the port is shingle, with the wooden pontoon and the moored boats in front of it. It is a place for a quiet swim and for watching the light change over the bay.
