The easiest beach on the Cap for families, and the most accessible: shallow water, full facilities, the Handiplage, and the Chemin du Calvaire starting from the car park.
Under the Cap
Follow the shore out of old Antibes towards the Cap and, after the Ponteil, the sand runs on into La Salis. Behind it the ground rises to the Garoupe plateau, and ahead the bay opens up towards Nice and the Alps. It is the great family beach of Antibes.
Shallow and safe
The tourist office singles out La Salis and the Ponteil as ideal for young children, because the water stays shallow a long way out. The beach has everything a family day needs.

The Handiplage
La Salis is home to the town's adapted beach for disabled visitors, opened in 2019 beside the nautical base. It has adapted facilities and equipment, is open to holders of a disability or inclusion card with up to two companions, and works by reservation, with a limited number of slots per person each week. Registration in advance is required through the town.
Walk up the Calvaire
The Chemin du Calvaire, the old path up to the Garoupe plateau, starts from the beach car park. Climb it in the cool of the morning for the chapel, the lighthouse and the view, then come back down for a swim.
