For the sunset. The Ondes faces straight across to the Estérel, and on a summer evening there is no better small beach on the Cap to end the day.
The first beach of the Cap
Leave Juan-les-Pins on the coast road and the Plage des Ondes is the first beach you reach on the Cap. It is small and intimate, a narrow band of fine sand with clear water, and the regional tourist board describes it as one of the locals' favourites.
The view west
The Ondes faces west, straight across the water to the red massif of the Estérel and the Lérins Islands offshore. That orientation makes it a sunset beach above all, though it is just as good for an early swim or an afternoon in the sun, since it is well sheltered from the wind.

Who it suits
This is a beach for couples and small groups rather than big families. It is narrow, and it lies right beside a road that is busy in summer, so the tourist board advises against it for young children. It is also popular with cyclists coming round the Cap, who stop here for a swim.
