The first beach out of town
Leave the ramparts of old Antibes and head along the shore towards the Cap, and the first long stretch of sand you meet is the Ponteil. It runs on towards La Salis, and together the two make up the town's great family beaches, with the old town behind you and the green line of the Cap ahead.
Made for young children
The tourism office singles out the Ponteil and La Salis as ideal for small children, because the water stays shallow for a long way out. The sand is soft, the sea usually calm, and there is plenty of room to spread out even on summer weekends.
