A dive centre on the quay

Easy Dive has been running since 2002 and now has two bases on the coast, in Cannes and here at Port Gallice on the edge of Cap d'Antibes. The Juan-les-Pins base occupies a 150-square-metre space on the port: a shop, a servicing workshop, two air-conditioned classrooms and a corner for coffee. The boats tie up in front, so the walk from changing room to deck is a matter of metres, and the tanks are already on board.

Out to sea

Four boats serve the centre, from a spacious 25-diver aluminium barge to smaller craft, each carrying oxygen and first-aid equipment. Between April and November there are daily departures, with up to four trips a day in high season including night dives; in winter the boats go out at weekends. Every dive is by reservation.

The team has even drawn 3D maps of well-known local sites such as La Fourmigue and the Grand Boule, to help divers picture the reef during the briefing.
