SeaZen takes small groups out from Port Gallice on solar-powered catamarans, with a guide at the helm – the bay of Juan-les-Pins and the villas of the Cap, seen without engine noise or fumes.

Boats that run on sunlight
SeaZen designs, builds and operates its own solar catamarans, and has been taking guests out on the Riviera since 2016. Its boat, the SRE 23, is made for silent, zero-emission cruising, and the company has two bases: Beaulieu-sur-Mer, between Nice and Monaco, and Juan-les-Pins, where the boats leave from berth 264 at Port Gallice.
Out on the bay
From Juan-les-Pins the boats head into the bay and along the Cap d'Antibes, where the best views of the villas and the pine-covered shoreline are from the sea. Private trips take a maximum of five passengers with a guide, which makes it feel more like an outing with friends than a boat tour. Without an engine to shout over, you actually hear the water.
Choosing a trip
The Juan-les-Pins programme includes:
- a sunset trip of one to two hours, timed for calm water and golden light;
- an exclusive two-hour tour with time to anchor in clear water;
- a one-hour essential trip on a personalised route past the famous villas;
- a romantic one-hour private trip for proposals, honeymoons and birthdays;
- a quiet scattering of ashes at sea, beyond 300 metres from shore.

| Worth knowing | Bookings can be moved or fully refunded up to 24 hours ahead, and trips may be rescheduled if the weather turns. The boat is open to the sea: children should be able to swim or stay on a parent's lap, and there are life jackets on board. Bring a cable if you want to charge your phone from the USB socket. |
