On the edge of the Garoupe
The Baie Dorée is a small four-star hotel of only eleven rooms, set on the shore of the Garoupe bay at the heart of the Cap. Every room looks out to sea. In front of it lie the hotel's own beach and jetty, which give straight onto the clear, sheltered water of the bay.
The beach
The beach opens every day through the summer season, from May to September, and is supervised during opening hours. Entry is free for guests staying at the hotel; others can book by telephone or email. The idea is simplicity: a sunbed, the view across the bay, and a light, careful menu that can be brought to you where you lie.
Lunch and a swim
The hotel restaurant sets its tables facing the sea in fine weather, serving breakfast in the morning and lunch in the middle of the day. Above the water there is an outdoor pool on what the hotel calls its boat deck, with bar service, and indoors a pool with a jacuzzi and massages on request.
Arriving by sea
A small port in front of the hotel can shelter a tender, and there is a landing stage – so you can come straight from a boat anchored in the bay.
