Looking back across the bay to the old town, La Maison de Bacon has served the Mediterranean's catch since 1948. Today the kitchen belongs to Nicolas Davouze, Bocuse d'Or France 2014.

An address with a long memory
La Maison de Bacon has been part of the Cap since 1948, set on the Bacon shore with the old town of Antibes, the Cap and, on clear days, the Mercantour mountains in view. New owners have been renewing the house in recent years: the dining room has been refurbished, and new spaces have been added upstairs and on the roof.
The chef
Nicolas Davouze has led the kitchen since 2021. He won the Bocuse d'Or France in 2014 and trained with Paul Bocuse and Alain Ducasse. His cooking is Mediterranean and built around the sea, and in 2024 Gault & Millau awarded the restaurant three toques, with a score of 15/20.
What to order
- The bouillabaisse, made according to the day's catch and served with croûtons and house rouille.
- The rockfish soup made in the Bacon tradition, with garlic-rubbed parmesan toast.
- Whole fish grilled over a wood fire and priced by weight – the menu is frank that everything depends on "the temper of the sea".
- Caviar, for a celebration.
Beyond the dining room
The Roof Top serves cocktails and its own food menu, with music on summer evenings; it is closed for the winter and reopens in May 2027. Upstairs, L'Appartement de Victor is a private space for events, and the house also offers Villa Les Roches de Bacon for receptions.
