Louroc
A Michelin-starred table at the far end of the Cap
The gastronomic restaurant of the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, holder of a Michelin star, where chef Sébastien Broda cooks the Mediterranean from local gardens and small-boat fishermen, with the sea in full view.
Why VERA picked it
The legendary hotel of the Cap, and a kitchen that looks outwards to local growers and fishermen. Louroc is the dinner that makes the whole estate make sense.
The hotel at the end of the road
The Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc stands at the far southern tip of the Cap d'Antibes, among pines and facing the sea from its rocky perch. It opened in the 19th century, still carries the memory of the Fitzgerald years, and today holds three MICHELIN Keys, the Guide's highest distinction for hotels. Louroc is its gastronomic restaurant.
A star, and a sense of place
Louroc holds one Michelin star. The Guide's inspectors praise its attentive service, a breathtaking view over the Mediterranean and the talents of chef Sébastien Broda, and they single out the pastry as a particular pleasure. Much of the tableware is made by Provençal artisans, which tells you a good deal about the spirit of the place.
What the kitchen buys
The larder is a statement in itself. Vegetables come only from local market gardeners, fish from small-scale fisheries, and the meat is sourced to the kitchen's own specification. The cooking is Mediterranean and coherent: dishes built around what those producers bring in, rather than luxury for its own sake.
Planning your evening
- Louroc manages its own bookings; reserve directly with the hotel.
- The Michelin Guide classes it at the top of its price scale – this is a special-occasion dinner.
- Check the restaurant's opening dates with the hotel before planning a visit.
- Arrive early and walk down through the park towards the sea; the approach is part of the experience.
