Courts in the park

Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc has stood at the southern tip of the Cap since 1870, in a park of pines that runs down the long Grande Allée to the sea. Among the trees are five clay tennis courts, shaded by Aleppo pines, palms and olives. On a summer morning, before the heat builds, it is hard to imagine a lovelier place to hit a ball.

Coaching

A certified coach is available on request, for players of any standard – whether you want to tidy up a backhand or find a stiffer match. The hotel's concierge takes bookings.

For younger players

Tennis is part of the children's programme too. The hotel keeps a team of coaches for young players, from first lessons to higher-level practice, and the kids' club mixes sport with cooking, dance and art.

More than tennis

The park holds plenty else for an active stay:

• A fitness village with Technogym equipment and personal trainers.
• A pickleball court under the glasshouse, beneath the pines.
• Yoga in the gardens or the glasshouse, in groups or one to one.
• The famous saltwater pool, cut into the rocks in 1914.
